This Privacy Policy explains how Arran Coe Music Ltd ("utter", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use utter: AI Voice Keyboard ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
a. Account Information
When you sign in with Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email address from Google. This information is used only to authenticate you and to link your subscription or settings to your account. We do not access your contacts, Drive, calendar, or any other Google data.
b. Voice Recordings and Transcription Data
When you dictate text, short audio snippets are transmitted securely to our servers to perform speech-to-text transcription. Audio is processed ephemerally (in memory only) and is not stored or retained after transcription is completed. The resulting text is temporarily cached on your device and never shared with third parties.
c. Usage and Diagnostics Data
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous information such as device type, language, session duration, and feature usage. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and performance data to improve stability. This data is aggregated and does not include personally identifiable information.
d. Subscription and Purchase Information
Payments and subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google Play processes your payment details; we never receive your full card information. We store only the purchase token and subscription status needed to verify your entitlement.
e. Automatically Collected Technical Data
Your device may provide non-identifying data such as IP address, Android version, and device model for security and debugging.
We use collected data only to: provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality; authenticate accounts and manage subscriptions; diagnose crashes and performance issues; communicate essential service updates; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Although no electronic transmission is 100% secure, we maintain commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information.
Voice recordings are processed ephemerally and not stored. Account and subscription data are retained only while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by tapping the logout button in app, followed by 'Delete Account', or by emailing horizonapps.contact@proton.me. Some data (e.g., billing records) may be retained as required by law.
utter is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your data may be processed on servers located in the UK, EU, or other regions where our providers (such as Google Cloud and Firebase) operate, always under adequate security protections.
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., UK GDPR / EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced within the App or by email.

We're sorry to see you go. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data.
To ensure the security of your account, you must initiate the deletion process from within the utter app.
When you confirm the deletion, all of your personal information — including your email address and any stored data — will be permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
